Mardi Gras! Galveston    2001: Space and Beyond

Friday February 16, 2001.  We went to the Mystic Krewe of Aquarius Annual Barn Bash.  This was a chance to view the floats up close.  There was beer, wine, food and lots of desserts :)  Mitch had his first ever Jello Shot.  Some of the people who made the floats spend some time talking to us about the floats and Mardi Gras.  Very nice people.  The next day at the parade, they remembered us and threw us some nice stuff.

Saturday, February 17, 2001 We went to the Mystic Krewe of Aquarius 15th annual parade.  We viewed the parade on the ocean side of the street, since it was a bit calmer, didn't have to worry about being trampled to death
