August 6, 2004 finally came and Heather's adoption was finalized at the Osceola County Court house around 3:20 pm. The process was generally short and to the point but it was allot more emotional for Naomi and I than we had expected. With all the problems with DCF and CHS, we thought this day would never arrive.
The day started with the girls going to get their hair done while I went to get Naomi's car tag renewed. My parents arrived around noon and we had a quick lunch. Heather looked really nice in her new dress. We headed to the court house in downtown Kissimmee about 30 minutes away for the special event.
After the adoption was complete, we picked up a friend of Heather's and headed for MGM Studios for a little fun. We went to the Muppet's show, Honey I shrunk the Kid's play ground, dinner @ 50s Prime Time Cafe and finally went to watch Fantasia.
