This day started at around 3:45am with early wake-up call. As soon as I got up, I heard what appeared to be elephants upstairs. When I left our bedroom, I realized all the lights were on in the house and I found Donald at the top of the stairs half dressed but ready to go. He claimed to have been up since 12:03am. He was really excited. By the time I had showered, he had Heather up and they were ready to go. We left home and headed for the airport around 4:45am. Drive to the airport, check-in and flight to NYC were good. We took the Airtrain to the subway to the hotel and checked in early. Went out for lunch at a local deli then came back and got ready for the Rockettes show at Radio City Music Hall. Donald wouldn't stop talking during the show, but the music and singing were so loud, I think Naomi was the only one really bothered. It was nice that the orchestra wasn't on strike anymore. It was really cool the way they went up and down. At one point, the orchestra pit floor, went across the stage to back part of the stage and performed about half the show there. The orchestra is really a big part of this show. Donald loved the dancing bears the best and Heather was spell bound with the stage full of dancing santa's. Wish I had gotten a picture of her face, when all the santa's came out dancing.
After show, the rain had finally stopped and it wasn't that cold. So we walked around Rockerfeller Center. We had taken the kids there in June and had explained how it looked at Christmas. The would have been more impressed if the tree wasn't decorated in scaffolding. We took in the windows at Saks. Then headed back to the hotel, had bagel sandwiches for dinner and put the kids to bed.
